Just White Tuna – Bonito del Norte – and a pinch of salt. It is prepared in its own juice, which keeps its authentic taste of the sea intact.
White Tuna (Thunnus alalunga), also known as longfin tuna, is the most prized fish for its texture and flavor. It has a long central fin up to two thirds of its size, which gives it the characteristic name of alalunga, or long fin.
We prepare the White Tuna in the traditional way: individually line-caught during the fishing season. It is carefully prepared by hand and packaged before being cooked in glass jars.
Once opened, in order to keep all its flavor for up to two days, we recommend keeping the White Tuna in the refrigerator, preferably covered.
White Tuna is a fish full of benefits for our health:
Bonito del Norte has always been considered an exquisite product. Behind the King of the tunas’ success is its soft, delicate and not so stringy texture, and its unique flavor, which turns every bite into a pleasure. Naturally, there is nothing set in stone when it comes to taste, but if there is one fish that is desired above all others, it is White Tuna. A treat that we’re lucky enough to enjoy every day.
