The time when a fish is in the best conditions of size and taste to be caught is known as the fishing season. The best time to fish for White Tuna is from July to October, caught with a rod or hook and line one at a time.
Respect for the fishing season is fundamental to ensure the future of the species. This way we guarantee their survival and we are certain that the fish that reaches our table is always the highest quality possible.
Our deep respect and love for the sea leads us to firmly believe in traditional fishing methods. For 130 years Conservas Ortiz has been committed to methods that do not harm the marine ecosystem, respect the natural environment, and maintain the population levels of the species to guarantee their survival in the future.
The White Tuna used in our cooked dishes is caught the traditional way: one at a time, with a rod.
All year long we live with our eyes on the clock. Rushing, overtime, traffic jams… finding time to cook can be complicated. That’s why we have created a whole range of cooked dishes so that you only have to worry about enjoying them. Cooking is our business.
