Mackerel (Scomber scombrus) is a blue fish with an elongated body that usually measures between 18 and 50 cm in length and weighs an average of 300 grams. Its distinguishing features are its pointed head and its characteristic colors: silver on fins and belly, and greenish with black lines on the back.
We elaborate our fried mackerel in pickled sauce in a traditional way: we fry the fish in olive oil and we pack it by hand in whole pieces in our traditional pickled sauce.
Once opened, we recommend keeping the Chicharro in the refrigerator, preferably covered and totally submerged in its marinade to maintain all its flavor.
